Look who is 1!

Landry celebrated her big birthday with family and close friends. We had a tea party with all of her bears dressed in her baby outfits. It was so much fun to do for her. I got a little emotional going through all of those baby clothes and remembering how little she was in them. It is amazing how one can grow in just a year! She is such a sweet little girl with an infectious laugh. She crinkles her nose and has you just wrapped around her finger. She is just a blessing in our lives and we are so thankful for so much love!

Jake turns 6!!

We celebrated Jake's 6th birthday with an airplane/ swimming party. Those are our two favorite things in the world right now so it was an absolute blast! I still can't believe my baby is 6!

Weekend at the Willifords

Just got back from a whirlwind weekend at the Williford's house in Arlington. We packed in a lot of activities and celebrations but had a blast doing it all. We celebrated Larry and Linda's 35th wedding anniversary with a surprise party on Friday night. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed cutting up throughout noted by the fact that Jake stood up in his chair and screamed "whooo hoooo" when Larry gave Linda a kiss at the end of the toast. The kids really enjoyed playing with their cousins and sleeping over every night. Jake and Reese had arms wrapped around each other everywhere we went....so cute. We topped off the weekend at the Rangers game celebrating Brian's birthday. Thanks for a great weekend!

Weekend with Mimi and Poppy at Family Camp

Just a note back to say how much we enjoyed our last trip to family camp. Both boys enjoyed fishing with Poppy and catching great big fish. One even took Kaden's entire hook and line. It was a monster fish! Jake enjoyed the cold frio waters with daddy while Kaden and I enjoyed wading through the river looking for treasures. Landry soaked up some Mimi time and loved crawling around on the soft grass exploring leaves and bugs as she went. Can't wait to go back!

Back to Blogging

Seriously took a long break from blogging. I guess having a husband with a broken pelvis and in a wheel chair along with two kids and a 3 month old had something to do with the break. :)

This was our first official week of summer and it was a total success. We spent everyday in the pool only to take breaks for a picnic lunch or popcycles. Jake went from not even wanting to get his head wet to swimming like a fish and diving down to the bottom of the pool. Kaden continues to get his swimming legs and get used to the water. While Landry Grace loves to be splashed and dunked. She is off of the charts on the style meter sporting her baby bikinis. :)

We are having a total blast and I can't wait to see what next week brings. I am so lucky to get to spend everyday with these amazing kids. I LOVE our family!

Toyota U.S. Open Triathlon

My husband is officially my hero. He decided to go to Dallas to race the Toyota Dallas Open Triathlon for his birthday. Unfortunately, he didn't get to finish it. One reason for this post is that if anyone saw Jeremy's bicycle crash at Cockrell Hill & Wyoming we would LOVE to hear from you. We are still trying to put together all of the pieces and any information anyone could provide would be VERY helpful. He suffered a broken collar bone, 4 broken ribs, a broken pelvis and 12 staples in the head. He is recovering well but will be off of his feet for the next few months. I couldn't be more proud of his positive attitude!
